Welcome to the 52nd episode of the SharpShooter Cast!  This is a big episode for us, as we have delivered a full year of podcast episodes.  So instead of just discussing Raw and professional wrestling news for the week, we also had a chance to review the year itself, thanks to a great question from loyal listener Matt.  This was a REALLY fun episode to record, and hope you guys and gals will enjoy it.

Besides this being our year anniversary episode, there were also two major stories we talk about.  One is an in-ring storyline - the build up and potential payoff of the Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella feud, and one is an outside the ring development - Spike's refusal to renew TNA's television contract.  We discuss both news items in great detail, and think you'll enjoy our analysis.  While McMahon vs Bella is compelling television (Involving women?  Finally!  Just took one of them being a McMahon.), the demise of TNA is very sad.

As always, so much of what works about this show is thanks to the contributions of our listeners.  A big thank you to Matt, Jesse, and Thomas for the questions this week.  People like you are the reason we were able to record fifty-two freaking episodes.  Let's make it to the next milestone - one hundred.

This week's episode covers:

  • Aaron talks about his week.
  • TNA loses TV deal, are they dead?
  • Will Kurt Angle make his WWE return?
  • WWE signs international star Prince Devitt.
  • A review and analysis of the 7/28 episode of Raw.
  • John Cena/Paul Heyman/Cesaro deliver a great opening to Raw.
  • Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins is fresh and fun.
  • Most matches this week feel like filler.
  • Orton's destruction of Roman Reigns is a killer segment.
  • Tom is excited about McMahon vs Bella, Aaron isn't.
  • Final Raw score.
  • Listener questions: Should Jack Swagger go over Rusev?
  • What celebrities have we enjoyed in a WWE ring?
  • What score would we give WWE for the year we spent podcasting?

What did you guys think of McMahon vs Bella?  Are you excited about their match at SummerSlam like I am?  Or do you agree with Aaron and find it appalling that Raw ended with their segment?  And what did you think of the last 52 weeks of WWE?  We scored WWE pretty high, and think they're going in the right direction.  We want to know what you think.  Hit us up in the comments, and lets get this discussion going.
