Welcome to The Last Round, a weekly episodic podcast where we talk sports, wrestling, video games, movies and much more. I would like to start this recap by announcing that for the first time in the 5 years Mike and myself have done podcasts that we talked about golf. I'm not sure how it happened but we spent a good amount of time talking golf. Be warned in advance.
The bulk of this week's show focused on injuries in sports but more specifically the injures that took place to Paul George, Tiger Woods and David Wilson. How does Paul George's injuries effect the USA team as well as the Pacers? And are we heading towards a shift in players representing our country when it comes to international games?
In the world of fantasy football, we continued our top 5 segment this week by listing our top 5 running backs you should focus on in fantasy. Speaking of fantasy!
We still have open spots available for The Last Round fantasy football league and would love to see more people join. If you are interested in joining our free league, please let myself or Mike Ayers know via https://www.facebook.com/LastRoundRadio. Just send us a message and we'll give you the ole invite.
After sports and fantasy football, we shift focus and talk about the WWE and where they are at right now with the possibilities of Brock Lesnar becoming a part time champ. Is it good for the company? Is it a different situation than what we saw with The Rock? We transition from WWE to Dave Batista and his role in the new hit film, Guardians of the Galaxy. Just saw the movie today by the way and it was simply fantastic.
We end the show talking about our beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We want to see the movie but are we really prepared for how crappy it could be?
