Welcome back to the WWE Week in Review. I apologize for missing last week. I was recovering from oral surgery and just wasn’t up to writing. This week will be a more abbreviated version than you are used to seeing from me. I’m real short on time but I didn't want to skip another week on you guys. Ok? Let’s get started.

There will be two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches at the PPV.

Seth Rollins announced this past Tuesday night on Main Event that there will be a traditional Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the Money in the Bank briefcase. I’m actually a fan of having two Ladder Matches and the MITB briefcase is one of the more exciting things in WWE during the course of the year. The fans live with the anticipation of when the briefcase will be cashed in.

The thing I don’t like about this MITB Ladder Match is the late announcement of it. It seems as if the idea of having this match was booked on a bar napkin instead of having any long term plan. If they did, guys like Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio wouldn't be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match. Cesaro would be better served to carry the briefcase and Del Rio has become so irrelevant he doesn't even belong in an NXT Title Match.

Seth Rollins is the only man announced for the bout so far and I expect guys like Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam and Wade Barrett to fill out the match. The participants will be announced tomorrow on RAW.

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose appear to have gone their separate ways.

Possibly the most dominant faction in WWE history has disbanded with very little fanfare. After Seth Rollins’ stunning heel turn it appeared as if Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns would stay aligned. They even teamed with John Cena last week on RAW to face the Wyatt Family. Then this week on RAW Reigns and Ambrose never appeared on screen together. Ambrose looks like his attention is geared towards getting revenge on Rollins while Reigns is looking to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Ambrose and Reigns debuted new entrance music on RAW.

One would think that after Reigns and Ambrose stayed together last week that they would remain a union this week. That wasn't the case. It almost seem anti-climatic that there wasn't  any resolution to what Reigns and Ambrose’s partnership would be going forward. Even if it was a simple backstage segment where Reigns and Ambrose agreed to go their separate ways to fight some personal battles. That would give us some closure on the team. I will say that I’m excited to see where the singles careers of all three men go from here. Ambrose is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Stardust has arrived.

In one of the more bizarre set of circumstances in WWE recently, Goldust’s new partner, Stardust debuted this past Monday on RAW. Since losing the Tag Team Championships, Cody Rhodes and Goldust have struggled to win matches. It even got to the point that Cody quit being his brother’s partner and paired him with random jobbers where he would still lose. Then Stardust arrived. Stardust for those of you without a clue, is Cody Rhodes in Goldust paint and attire. Goldust and Stardust won their debut match against Rybaxel.

Cody’s new gimmick is interesting to say the least. I’m not sure how long it can last though. Cody is a very talented WWE Superstar that never got the push a lot of other guys with his ability have gotten. Whether is be after Legacy broke up, after his win against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 27 or after he and Goldust beat the Shield last year he just was never able to sustain any momentum to become a top flight superstar. This new Stardust gimmick probably won’t do him any favors in terms of becoming a main event guy.

There will be no Retro Wrestling Match of the Week or Awards this week. I haven’t had a chance to watch any wrestling other than RAW this week. I’m sorry. Life gets in the way sometimes. Hopefully this column will be back to it’s usual self next week. Until then, ciao peeps.
