Riddle’s Controversial WWE Journey
Matt Riddle will also be included in the list of the most controversial members of WWE in the recent years. The ex-star had an enormous potential, thus the management invested so much money on him. Riddle has even at some time been planned to be paired with a legendary Randy Orton to gain momentum in his career.
The absence of self-potency to live up to the expectation placed on him also faced Riddle despite having the chance. There were also the off ring problems that complicated his performance. This has seen his working relationship with WWE terminate and the end of his career is being questioned.
Riddle Goldberg Controversy
Riddle also got popular not only as a result of his performances in the ring but also due to his scandalous personality. One of the scandalous relations that would have happened to him was the association with the former world champion Bill Goldberg. That is when Goldberg retired last summer after his final fight with his ring general, Gunther in Atlanta.
In 2019, rivalry between Riddle and Goldberg began. It started with SummerSlam behind the scenes where it was hot-tempered. After that, Riddle did not miss a chance to attack Goldberg and used to talk about him as overrated.
Riddle Recalls Goldberg Flight
Riddle shared one of his memorable moments with Goldberg in the latest episode of the Rewind Recap Relive podcast. This was my way to Saudi and I believe he was defending or fighting to take the title, I do not recall what position in the time order we were. On his way he had been in a private flight with Vince. He was traveling with the other boys in the plane back and we were both in first class, Riddle said.
First-Class Bonding Moment
He continued by saying, Lucky me, Randy liked me and he had his management to give me first-class tickets. Randy’s the man. I’ll never forget that. So me and Goldberg are in first class and you might be surprised, but it is something that I enjoy a Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary is also a favorite of Goldberg. We start talking on the small bar where we are drinking Bloody Marys. It also was not heated, but was strained.
The statements of Riddle have provided more information of what has happened behind the scenes at WWE and sheds light to another part of his career that his fans do not know about. Despite the controversies, Riddle remains a memorable character that left a memory in the company both inside and outside the ring.
