David Finlay addresses the crowd with a microphone in a New Japan Pro-Wrestling ring, appearing emotional.

David Finlay (in NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka) at least delivered a heart-wrenching moment once he lost his singles match to Callum Newman. Newman won this match, but the real interest to the viewers was based on what Finlay did after the match.

Finlay Emotional Farewell

After the match, Finlay went down on his knees before the crowd and thanked and respected his fans in the NJPW who have been beside him throughout his life. He also later had a heart-to-heart with NJPW booker Gedo, by hugging him as he went out the door. When he left the camera, Finlay even took the time to kiss the NJPW logo and quietly said, thank you, on pointing to the extent to which he was attached to the promotion and its fans.

Finlay Earns Praise

This action immediately won the praise of fans and wrestling media too who justified the professionalism of Finlay and his real interest in his residence in New Japan Pro Wrestling. His conduct was respectful to the organization and also an understanding of the journey he has made since his debut.

Finlay Honors War Dogs

Finlay left behind him, after the emotional good-bye, a photo of himself and his stable, the War Dogs, which consisted of Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney. The snapshot was discovered alongside a message of thanksgiving which has been highlighted with the bond he has created with the fellow wrestlers.

Finlay NJPW Legacy

Since 2015, Finlay is in NJPW, steadily becoming one of the key players, and contributing greatly to the promotion. The career of the man has been characterized by some of the memorable matches and interesting plots and his departure at this stage underlines the evolving character of the NJPW talent.

Finlay Memorable Farewell

Though the fans will not be able to watch Finlay match in New Japan, his farewell in Osaka was a good way to remember his work and his relationships, which he has established. This moment has generally been regarded by the wrestling fraternity as among the more emotionally expressive reverential and professional acts within present NJPW history.
