When Ronda Rousey emerged at the AEW Revolution, many individuals were amazed by the move, which was not anticipated by many. The unexpected appearance was also one of the most talked-about works of the event and it created much buzz via the wrestling business.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, very few people at WWE were aware of the fact that Rousey was coming to the pay-per-view. Before the show, it was alleged to have been a very secretive plan. As a result, most of the WWE employees were notified of the appearance just like the event attendees.

It occurred in the episode of AEW Revolution, in the Crypto.Com arena, Los Angeles, California on March 15. This was happening only some time after Toni Storm won one of the matches with Marina Shafir.
Chaotic AEW Confrontation
Rousey entered the ring suddenly and opposed Storm. This was further worsened when the security came to separate the two opponents. The segment immediately got out of hand with Shafir assaulting Storm on the back. The two friends left the ring together and proceeded to the crowd. The scene was received with deafening disgusted cheers by the audiences.
First Appearance Since WWE
It was the first television appearance of Rousey in 23 years since she parted ways with WWE in 2023. She went on with fighting sports and wrestling after leaving the company. She has taken part in some standalone performances, and in Ring of Honor. During it, she worked with a long-time friend Marina Shafir. Her final wrestling match before AEW Revolution was in November 2023.
Outside the professional wrestling scene, Rousey is also preparing to get back in the world of mixed martialling arts. Gina Carano has a fight with her scheduled in May 2026 under the Most Valuable Promotions. The creator of the promotion and stream of the bout will be featured on the Netflix. It will be her first appearance in MMA because she lost to Amanda Nunes in UFC 207 in December 2016.
Rousey’s WWE Career
Rousey first appeared in WWE in WrestleMania 34 in 2018. She has been paired up with Kurt Angle and she has joined Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. WWE not only enabled her to win the championship of the Raw Women but also the SmackDown Women, but this saw her career in the company end in 2023.
AEW has not confirmed that Rousey would keep on appearing since her sudden appearance at Revolution.
