Anna Jay made her most recent appearance in AEW in November 19 on the Collision episode. She was a partner to Tay Melo this time but they lost to Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne during the quarter-finals of the Women World Tag Team Title tournament. Anna Jay has since missed AEW television and it has given rise to discussion of what would happen to her in the promotion.
Anna Jay Contract Update
To begin with, her contract was reported to expire in spring in 2026. However, she is canceling the deal earlier than initially scheduled as reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer. Meltzer has been reported that the contract of Anna Jay was to expire in the new year and it was under negotiation. He explained that she never appeared on television because the management of AEW, which is led by Tony Khan, had been keeping her off the screen awaiting her exit at the end of her contract. Meltzer further stated that she was not returning to television without an additional contract, which is the working of Tony Khan.
Anna Jay WWE Speculation
There have been rumors in this development that Anna Jay may be planning on joining WWE. Her wrestler was also exposed by Fightful Select Q&A where Wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp participated in a recent one. When Sapp asked Jay about her absence and what she is doing she replied, I have not heard she has been about a bunch or anything. She hasn’t been used on TV. I did not hear of any creative plans or such. I think her deal comes through in a couple of months.
WWE Interest Highlighted
Another person who contributed to the interest of WWE was Sapp. Had I been NXT, I would have been making efforts and trying to have her since she would make the right choice. I have heard much say, Oh my God, well she is dating Jack Perry, none, that or any other, they will hire. He further explained that they do not care whether one has a problem or not.
Anna Jay Career Turning
With AEW still not on TV and WWE potentially having her on their NXT roster, the coming months will probably be the most significant in the career of Anna Jay. She is keeping most of her fans at the edge of their seat on where she next moves since a change of promotions would bring a great overhaul in the women wrestling industry.
