Oba Femi Faces Questions After Major WWE Decision
Fresh questions are now being asked about Oba Femi after WWE seemingly revealed that the rising star is supposedly going to give away the prestigious title shot he won at the 2026 King of the Ring tournament. The developments unfolded on Monday Night Raw after Femi made a big decision for himself and his future in the company.
King of the Ring Victory Creates SummerSlam Opportunity
The circumstances around the superstar’s statement have left many wondering if he will still get an opportunity to win any of the world championships. Everything began on the June 29 episode of Monday Night Raw when Oba Femi successfully defended his tournament victory over Jey Uso at Night of Champions. As a result, Femi secured the opportunity to battle any of the Undisputed WWE Champions for the title at SummerSlam.
Brock Lesnar Interrupts and Changes Femi’s Plans

The rising star announced his willingness to face the Undisputed WWE Champion or the Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. Femi’s plans were cut short when Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman stormed the ring and interrupted his speech. The young superstar immediately retaliated after the surprise attack and urged Lesnar to take the fight to SummerSlam instead of either of the Undisputed WWE Champions.
Hell in a Cell Match Officially Set for SummerSlam
The self-proclaimed Beast Incorporated leader surprisingly accepted the offer, although it was revealed that the match was set to take place inside the Hell in a Cell. WWE later officially announced the special request for the SummerSlam main event that is set to take place on August 1 and 2. Pearce proceeded to ask Femi a few questions in the backstage interview before asking him if he was ‘100% sure’ about the developments. “Yes, I’m sure, it needs to happen, this needs to happen, it needs to end, and I will be the one to end it,” Femi replied.
WWE Hints Oba Femi Has Lost His Title Shot
According to the latest edition of the official WWE Raw Recap podcast, Sam Roberts claimed that Oba Femi has ‘walked away’ from a title opportunity. It is because of the fact that SummerSlam is set to take place in Minnesota on August 1 and 2, which means that WWE would have booked a tremendous title match, which they apparently do not want.
