Dani Luna Reflects on ACL Injury and WWE Release

Dani Luna poses in wrestling gear during an interview discussing her ACL injury and WWE release.

One of the most challenging periods of her career has been revealed by professional wrestler Dani Luna. The young star has recently discussed one of the most difficult times in her life when she was severely injured and lost her WWE contract in a few months only in 2021.

Career Turning Point

WWE has signed Luna, who announced in 2021 that, a week before the end of 2021, she tore her ACL and it became the turning point in her career. It was not an easy task to defeat the injury itself, but it was made even more complicated when WWE terminated her employment in the company a little later.

In one of her recent interviews, Luna explained how she changed her situation rather fast. And at the young age of 22, she abruptly had to manage a significant injury, as well as, lose her position in WWE. This combination makes her reconsider her choice of career and start afresh in the bottom.

Luna Opens Up

“Good, good question, I suppose it is circumstantial. I believe that personally, I tore my ACL in the end of 2021 and, 22 years old, I was under WWE contract then. Then in two or three months, you see, I tore my ACL, was dumped by the WWE. I had no job and no knees so it was a rough time. You see I had to get myself a real person job. It was a sort of a beginning again with me between learning how to walk and learning how to wrestle. It was a journey, but I believe it has made me the wrestler what I am now, and has made me have more gratefulness of the wrestling that I do get to do now, and that I get to go out there every week and travel the world is a sweet feeling because it was taken away. You can never imagine how much of what I am now performing I would have been performing had I not been compelled to cease doing it.”

Nevertheless, although it was a bitter experience, Luna still thinks that it eventually made her a better performer. It took time and perseverance before I got over the injury. She was forced to learn to move again before she finally got back to the ring.

Dani Luna Claims

Luna claims that these days she understands the opportunities that she has in wrestling better. Competition and regularly travelling now has a higher meaning since it has been almost lost.

The other recent interview also Luna talked about the possible future opponents. She particularly stated that she was interested in having to fight WWE star Lyra Valkyria in the event it happened one day.
