Again Jesse Ventura, ex- Minnesota governor and former professional wrestler, is making the reference to his political return. Ventura informs him that he is considering running against a public office that would pit him against President Donald Trump. Jesse, the Body Ventura who was one of the former stars of WWE has been a very vocal critic of Trump and his administration in the recent past.
Ventura Slams Immigration Policies
Ventura has said a lot criticizing the immigration enforcement initiative in the state of Minnesota. The growing political tension within the state has given his remarks a new interest. Last week Ventura was on the news making jests on a podcast that Minnesota would join Canada to become part of it. He would further justify it by saying he said it as a joke.
However, Ventura made sure that political comeback has been considered seriously. Appearing on CBC’s “Rosemary Barton Live,” he was asked directly whether he was thinking about running for Minnesota governor again. This comes as current Governor Tim Walz has announced he will not seek reelection.
“I’m having that consideration, and other considerations,” Ventura replied when asked about a potential run. When questioned about a possible presidential campaign, Ventura quickly dismissed the idea. “No, that’s too far off, that’s three years from now,” he said.
Ventura Eyes Senate Run
Ventura then pointed to Senator Amy Klobuchar as a key factor in his thinking. “Our main person is Sen. (Amy) Klobuchar, and she’s announced she’s coming back to run for governor,” Ventura said. “Somebody’s got to replace her as a senator, don’t they? And would that not put me eye to eye with (Trump)?”

He also offered blunt advice for Governor Walz amid tensions with the White House. “Hold tight, stand tough, and don’t give this guy nothing,” Ventura said. “Because Donald Trump views any concession as a victory for him.”
Ventura, born James George Janos in Minneapolis in 1951, remains deeply connected to the state. He recently visited Roosevelt High School following an ICE-related incident. “Freedom is not arresting people without warrants,” Ventura said. “We have a Constitution.”
Ventura’s comments continue to fuel speculation about his political future as Minnesota heads toward a pivotal election cycle.
