Prior WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has not appeared on WWE television in over two months. Her absence has raised questions among fans, as she had gained momentum in 2025. Stratton had a breakout year that solidified her as one of the top performers in WWE.
Breakout Championship Run
Stratton kicked off 2025 by cashing in her contract on Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship. The win was a breakthrough moment in Tamil’s career. She then followed that up by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41. Stratton would then be champion for 302 days. Her reign ends in November.
Her last appearance on WWE programming was on November 1. He lost the championship to Jade Cargill on that night’s edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since that episode, she has never been seen on Raw, SmackDown, or any premium live event. The silence has been noticeable.
Triple H Strategy
Per a recent Q&A session with PWInsider’s David Scherer, the topic of Stratton’s whereabouts was brought up in fan questions. He indicated other factors could be at play, and hinted the circumstances are an expression of a well-worn creative resolve employed by WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul Levesque. “My assumption is Paul Levesque is doing what has been a trope for him when you have some champions who lose their Titles: You take them off TV, repackage them, and get something out of it when they return. It’s a smart move in my opinion. It makes sense not remind everyone how someone just lost.”
Scherer made clear his comments were speculation, not confirmation. Still, Stratton’s absence aligns with how several former champions have been handled in recent years. WWE has often paused its television presence to reset momentum before a return.
Return Window Opens
The timing is also notable. WWE SmackDown recently extended to three hours. That change allows more space for storylines and surprise appearances. Royal Rumble season is also underway. Historically, this period brings major returns.
Reports have already indicated that Stratton is slated to appear soon. Whether she returns quietly or immediately targets Jade Cargill remains unclear. A title challenge would make sense given their history. For now, fans continue to wait as WWE holds one of its brightest stars off-screen.
