Carmella Teases WWE Return as NXT GM Candidate

Professional wrestler Leah Van Dale, known as Carmella, poses in the ring wearing a black and white dollar-bill themed outfit and black arm sleeves.

One of the former WWE Women champions, Carmela has made new waves in a potential return to WWE when she tweeted that she would consider returning to WWE as the on screen NXT General Manager. Even the tease itself was a time in between to the WWE NXT brand that just lost their previous authority figure.

Former WWE Superstar Carmella During a Match at an Event

WWE NXT General Manager Ava has left the company officially last week as her contract was expired. Her resignation instantly left the door open to encourage speculation on the person that might take forever in the position. The days that followed WWE Superstar Chelsea Green publicly made known her interest in the position, which brought more interest to the developing storyline.

Interim Leadership Announced

The company found a temporary solution during the last episode of WWE NXT. The interim General Manager was appointed as Robert Stone who will oversee the running of the company till a long term decision is reached. The announcement caused a buzz in the social media with various WWE personalities giving their opinions.

Carmella Fuels Speculation

Carmella made the discussion even hotter when she tweeted the announcement with Stone. Though she did not explicitly say what she wanted to do, the post was greatly seen as a hint that she is willing to come back to authority position. The tease is even more prominent when Carmella has not shown up on the WWE television in the recent months.

Bayley Backs Carmella

WWE RAW Women Superstar Bayley was the first to respond to the concept. She even came out and publicly expressed her approval and asked WWE executive Shawn Michaels to give her what she desires and make Mella the manager. The reaction of Bayley served to boost the fans talk and many were excited about the fact that Carmella could also become the NXT brand head.

Carmella has been off the WWE programming following the birth of her second child. The baby was born to her and her husband, WWE announcer Corey Graves at the end of last year. Carmella has since been an active woman on the Internet and in real life, juggling family.

The question of whether or not a formal return of Carmela will result due to her tease is yet to be answered. Nevertheless, as NXT is in necessity of a long-term General Manager, her name has now squarely gotten into the discussion. The fans will be waiting with anticipation on what is to occur in the coming weeks.
