Reigns vs. Punk Spotlight
The announcement that the Roman Reigns and CM Punk were featured in the headline of Night Two of the Las Vegas venue has turned WrestleMania 42 into a melodramatic twist. It is no longer a championship game, but rather a highly personalized game, as it initially started to be. There is a lot on the line and week after week the tensions between the two superstars are piling up.
Rumble Win Sets Stage
In Saudi Arabia, Reigns took the Royal Rumble at the beginning of the year to win his main event place. The victory earned him an opportunity to compete in the title during the WrestleMania and the eleventh opportunity to be on the stage. Reigns did not take a safe path but instead picked Punk as an opponent right after. It is one of the most expected fights in the card because Punk is the current World Heavyweight Championship. All these were the issues which Punk had to address and it is what made the title match a blockbuster.
But it was tougher during the 2 nd episode of the WWE Raw. The other red hot promotion that infuriated viewers was that of Punk who discussed the dead father of Reigns, Sika Anoa. It was a remark which instantly transformed the character of the feud. The segment ended with the appearance of a clear outburst of anger of Reigns as the spectators anticipated him to react.
Usos Confront Punk
Although Reigns has not approached Punk, he was approached by his cousins. In Raw, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso challenged Punk and ordered him to apologize to them because of calling their uncle. Punk refused to back down. The champion was finally struck by the Usos, and the latter lay sprawling on the ground in the ring, and these two brothers at once started a physical battle. This was a vehement indication of what is still to come before the WrestleMania.
The speculations that were also made in the Internet was the arguments. Photoshop had a photo that showed an alleged photo of Reigns holding the title in the face of Dwayne Johnson in the WrestleMania. The picture had speculations that The Rock could repeat the action and fight Punk in the plot development.
Rumor Quickly Denied
The rumours were, however, soon discounted. Fightful writer, Sean Ross Sapp, responded to the rumor and said that the situation of teasing was not going on. He was effective in his commenting as this was a way to delay the rumours that were circulating at that possible time.
Advertisements of Reigns occur in the March 16 Raw in San Antonio. The fight is just about to get out of control considering that the two stars have not engaged in a physical fight. In between, there are questions of what is yet to happen of The Bloodline and whether the family will come together in a whole before WrestleMania.
