WWE Tryout News: Big Updates And New Plans Emerge

WWE Tryout Calls Reveal New Developments

WWE’s latest tryout camp has seen the next round of action, while another development in Las Vegas is set to free up space for WWE and UFC. Both are interesting stories, but they do not represent a complete deal yet. Fightful Select reported that some wrestlers who participated in WWE’s tryouts at the end of last July have already been contacted by the company this week. WWE did not indicate which participants were contacted, and it has not yet established any new contracts with the group.

Recent WWE Tryout Names Revealed

The group of WWE wrestlers attended tryouts at the WWE Performance Center on July 28. They had their pictures taken and medical tests done, and they began the in-ring trial the following day. Some of the participants included Josh Bishop, Titus Alexander, J-Rod, Conan Lycan and Nigel Cawthon, while KJ Orso, Nicky Mariano, Brooke Havoc, Nate Prince and Bobby Casale were also there.

Potential WWE Signings Remain Unconfirmed

This development suggests that WWE is now considering some of the group as potential signings beyond the initial tryout. However, being contacted does not necessarily mean that the wrestler has officially signed with WWE, since there may be additional negotiations before the offer becomes final. At this point, WWE’s latest developments represent continued interest in some members of the tryout group.

UFC Plans New Las Vegas Space

At the same time, UFC is considering a different development for its own needs. The proposed project for the UFC’s Meta Apex complex in Las Vegas, which would also be connected to WWE, represents a potential opportunity to bring in more space. UFC Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Lawrence Epstein spoke with the Las Vegas Review-Journal about the possibility. The hotel and sports complex connected to the UFC would eventually be able to accommodate WWE, as well.

Meta Apex Expansion Could Help WWE

The plan is still preliminary at this point, and WWE has not yet indicated what it would do with the available space. Meta Apex has been expanded to reach a capacity of 1,300 people, with retractable seats allowing for an additional 90. The venue also includes two new kitchens, larger LED screens and one more level.

WWE And UFC Plans Take Shape

Both developments represent a continuing shift, but they do not yet indicate an official deal. UFC is considering an expansion project, while WWE is continuing to review talent from recent tryouts. Both represent a potential shift for the future, but neither indicates that a deal has formally closed yet.
