Powerhouse Hobbs’ AEW Exit Fuels WWE Talk
A top AEW star may be on the verge of finishing up in the promotion in wake of increasing Powerhouse Hobbs WWE rumors. The powerhouse in the ring has just handed over an enormous title in a recorded match, cementing speculations that he will depart for Stamford upon expiry of his deal.
Powerhouse Hobbs has been a fixture in All Elite Wrestling since 2020. During his tenure, he captured the TNT Championship and the World Trios Titles once. Despite those accomplishments, many fans felt his overall in-ring career never fully matched his physical upside. Creative direction and inconsistent storylines often limited his momentum.
Title Loss Sparks Hobbs Exit Speculation
Those concerns grew stronger this week. Hobbs competed in what is believed to be his final AEW match during Collision tapings. He defended the World Trios Titles alongside The Opps. The trio ultimately lost the championships to Hangman Adam Page and JetSpeed. The title change immediately sparked discussion about Hobbs’ future.
With his AEW chapter seemingly closing, attention has shifted toward WWE. The company has reportedly monitored Hobbs for some time. His size, athleticism, and main event presence fit WWE’s long-standing talent profile. That makes Powerhouse Hobbs WWE rumors difficult to ignore.
Meltzer Questions Hobbs’ WWE Prospects

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently addressed the situation. He confirmed WWE interest but raised questions about long-term success. Meltzer emphasized the importance of promo ability in WWE’s environment. He explained potential outcomes during a recent discussion.
He is a big dude and he … they do like him and … you know and i think … I don’t want to put a lid on his potential you know, I mean in WWE at the end of the day where he is going to go, a lot of it’s on his talking ability and we really haven’t seen a lot of that like the ability to talk long term you know or obviously, he’s put in a stable like Heyman, you know that changes everything coz then he won’t have to talk a lot. Most of the time, when guys are in one place for a long time, it’s better to change, get a fresh coat of paint… but there’s always Rey Fenix’s, when it’s not better.
If Hobbs joins WWE, his presentation will be critical. Pairing him with an established manager could accelerate his rise. A move to WWE RAW or SmackDown would also offer fresh matchups and renewed fan reaction.
For now, nothing is official. Still, the timing of the title loss keeps Powerhouse Hobbs WWE speculation firmly in focus.
