WWE Monday Night Raw of February 9 opened with a tense backstage where Becky Lynch is peeking at AJ Lee and CM Punk walking into the arena. Lynch also immediately published a furious promo, lamenting the way AJ had returned. She appeared to have been physically nervous and this was a pre-condition to a hot-tempered argument.
AJ Lee Taunts Lynch
AJ Lee soon interrupted that part of Lynch, feigning to laugh at her since she was experiencing some nervous breakdown. AJ demonstrated to The Man that she has already conquered her in Wrestlepalooza and War Games. AJ put the pressure on top of it when he made the announcement that Becky Women Intercontinental Championship was the number one challenger and technically the rightful challenger.
Lynch Accepts Title Challenge
To this, Lynch offered AJ a singles game. AJ answered that as long as Lynch has to stake her title. Becky later agreed and officially formed a title defense with AJ Lee in the WWE Elimination Chamber. It will occur in the hometown of AJ Lee on 28 February, 2026 in Chicago. Already one can anticipate a high profile and at the same time a very emotional match.
It later happened in the show when AJ Lee came to the rescue of Maxxine Dupri when Natalya went on to attack her despite the fact that she was eliminated in her own match. Since AJ was busy watching Maxxine, Lynch seized the opportunity and struck AJ at a cheap rate and this enhanced their rivalry to a greater extent.
Lynch Threatens AJ Lee
Becky Lynch went to the social media following the Monday night raw and released her anger. She has mentioned AJ Lee, in jest and she has made a stern warning. Lynch wrote, I will dispose of AJ Lee out of WWE and out of my life and this is a pointer to the fact that it will only get much worse as we approach Elimination Chamber.
With both the ladies being eager to make a mark, the WWE fans can be expected to enjoy a tough title match. It has all the elements of personal enmity, high stakes, and the championship victory, and the February 28 of the next year is among the most anticipated events of the year 2026.
