Gunther Babyface Talk
This week Gunther talked about the recent wild speculation concerning a babyface turn in WWE. A few days ago, when he appeared on radio, he did it calmly and very well laid out. Ex world champion was asked about whether he could ever consider becoming a fan favorite in the future.
Comfort as Heel
He explained that he is very contented in his line of duty as a heel. The villain role is, to Gunther, more of a role, a part of self. He prefers to be the barrier to the ring and the villain whom fans love to hate. He was quite certain and not uncertain in tone.
Old School Philosophy

He also described himself as an old fashioned wrestler whose industry was modern and fast reacting. Gunther combined discipline, order and in-ring credibility with crowd approval. Not every bad guy had to be redeemed or have a heart change with him. He does not believe that a heel must be a fan favorite in order to remain productive.
Turn Speculation Continues
His comments have not quelled fan and analyst speculation. It is believed that WWE may still want to think of switching on storylines requirements. The contrast between boos and applause is sometimes blurred by the reaction of the crowd and large competitions. His battles with the finest stars have already propelled him and added more enigma to the eyes of the spectators.
Legacy Over Change
But the long-term orientation of Gunther appears to be legacy-based. He is not so much concerned with change of character over the short term as with uniformity and pre-eminence. Innovative decisions within WWE could never be altered, yet an alteration would have most likely required a strong motive narrative-inspired. Up until now, he is committed to his chosen identity.
