Penta’s WrestleMania Momentum
Penta is going into WrestleMania 42 with a tremendous momentum. The Intercontinental Champion has gained popularity as one of the most discussed stars of the WWE RAW within a very limited period of time. The company is now being reported to be planning a big showcase match in Las Vegas next month to him.
Multi-Man Title Match
According to the news that has been spreading across a recent Fightful Select Q&A, WrestleVotes has found that WWE has considered the idea of having a multi-man Intercontinental Championship match during WrestleMania. Instead of having the case of a classic one on one title defense, a larger presentation that would put emphasis on the championship in one of the largest wrestling arenas is claimed to be preferred by the officials.
WrestleMania 41 Recap
In case WWE does so, the match would be comparable to the one of the last year, WrestleMania 41. In this game, Dominik Mysterio took home the Intercontinental Championship in a chaotic 4-Way game. Bron Breakker, Pentanta and Finn Balor also participated in the match. It proved to be one of the more memorable things of that.
But this year Penta finds herself on the other side of that story. He defeated Dominik Mysterio in the Intercontinental Title in the 2 nd episode of RAW. The victory turned the tables in the division and brought Penta to the ranks of the fast-growing champions of WWE.
Judgment Day Tensions
Even that change in the title contributed to the intra-group conflicts of The Judgment Day party. Recently, Dominik Mysterio and the group have been in conflict with Finn Balor and this has brought about instability in the group. The case will be discussed in the group at one point or another during a future episode of RAW. This internal struggle may be a significant impact on Intercontinental Championship image.
Mysterio Challenges Penta
Dominik Mysterio has already left no doubt that he would like to claim the championship again. He has gone so far as to give a drastic condition during the interview with Brad Gilmore a few days back. Mysterio made a bet against the icon mask of Penta on his hair in a risky game. He asserts that he has beaten Penta many times in the past and he believes that defeat of the title was only a matter of time but not skill.
Penta Defends Title
The challenge has not been able to discourage Penta. The champion responded to it through violent recent appearances and continued the competition. Whether WWE will stick to the multi man match or personal show-down is yet to be determined. Anyway, the Intercontinental Championship storyline is rapidly becoming one of the most entertaining shows at WrestleMania 42.
