WWE Stars Launch Community Campaign
Before the big show of SummerSlam 2026, WWE is making an impact on the page. This week, a few WWE Superstars visited Minnesota to kick off the SummerSlam Teacher Supply Drive with local teachers. On Wednesday, Chad Gable, Je’Von Evans and Otis came to Mall of America in Bloomington to kick off the statewide campaign. The project’s goals are to support teachers and students with the collection of school supplies before the start of the school year.
Major Donation Supports Minnesota Schools
Classrooms will be supported by the campaign via the Kids In Need Foundation. It also began with a big donation from Blaze Credit Union, which gave $10,000 to the cause. Fans and community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies to last until August 1. 29 Blaze Credit Union branches throughout Minnesota now have collection bins. Donations for financial support can also be made online at Minnesota Sports and Events.
Fans Invited To Donate Supplies

The campaign will wrap up at a public SummerSlam Supply Drop event during SummerSlam weekend on August 1. At the event on Wednesday, the WWE stars shared their memories of the teachers and mentors who had a positive impact on their lives. They also joined in for a symbolic “SummerSlam Supply Drop” where they wheeled in a WWE-style travel case containing school supplies and dropped off donations in collection bins.
Superstars Honor Teachers And Mentors
“It is a great partnership, and it is a great community impact,” said Minnesota Sports and Events President and CEO Wendy Blackshaw. We are excited to bring one of WWE’s biggest events to Minnesota and to make a difference in our community. Blaze Credit Union Senior Vice President Jim Ganger also said it was crucial to “be there for teachers.
Leaders Praise Community Partnership Effort
Teachers dedicate themselves to their students each day, and frequently buy classroom items with their own money. Other speakers at the event included 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year Michael Houston and Harambee Elementary teacher Sabrina Jones. Kids In Need Foundation representative Rashelle Oxborough highlighted the significance of the initiative.
SummerSlam Builds Excitement Through Giving
Each classroom is unique; each student deserves to learn with the supplies they need. As SummerSlam nears, WWE is once again combining entertainment with community outreach as it aids students in Minnesota in their preparation for the upcoming school year and helps to build anticipation for one of WWE’s greatest shows.
