Alexa Bliss Tackles Recovery From her Injury
After a vicious post-match attack on WWE’s SmackDown, Alexa Bliss has come up with a positive update. The former Women’s Champion made her appearance recently with a brace on her left arm and many fans were wondering if she’d be cleared to compete in WWE SummerSlam.
Bliss last played against Jade Cargill on the July 10 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. After the match Cargill began attacking Bliss, trapping his arm in a steel chair and pushing it into the mat. Immediately after that attack, there was concern about Bliss’ health and availability.
Bliss Explains The Extent Of Her Arm Injury
Bliss spoke with ESPN’s Vibe Check about her recovery, and what transpired with her arm during the attack. She said she was able to bend slightly to minimise damage but was still feeling the pain from the injury.

I have bendy elbows so when she bent my elbow back into a chair it wasn’t that bad but when she slammed the chair I think there’s a bone chip and it’s a little overstretched this ligament.
There is no evidence that Bliss is suffering from a significant injury, but there have been some sightings of her wearing a protective brace in public appearances recently. She also posted pictures of bruises on social media soon after the attack, which displayed the impact of the attack.
Despite some statistical odds, SummerSlam 2015 may still happen
Though the defeat was a blow, Bliss is confident he’ll be back on WWE TV sooner rather than later. The brace is helping to stabilize the injury and she thinks the recovery process is on the right track, she said.
“It’s sore, but it’s just an inconvenience because of how bulky [the brace] is. It’s holding up [the leg] so it heals quickly and I hope that it’s about to be in about 2 weeks and we’re fine.”
Those statements have sparked hope and optimism that Bliss might be ready to compete in SummerSlam before or around SummerSlam if she continues to recover at her current rate.
Fans Await Alexa Bliss’ WWE Return
Alexa Bliss is currently on the road to recovery and will continue to be monitored as she recovers. There is no WWE confirmation yet as to her return date, nor if she will compete at SummerSlam.
But her latest comments indicate the injury isn’t going to keep her sidelined for long. Once recovered, the five-time Women’s Champion will be back to pitting herself against Jade Cargill and be a big story in the WWE women’s division leading into one of the biggest shows of the year.
