Tragic Injury Ends Career Peak
Former WWE Champion Big E was at the peak of his career when he got injured and changed his life forever. The star was forced to retire after suffering a severe injury on one of the episodes of SmackDown . One of the greatest members of the former tag team called New Day seriously injured his spine. The former superstar remained optimistic that he would be able to return to the ring and wrestle for WWE but it turned out to be not destined to happen.

WWE authorities were supportive of the ex-member and they managed to find new projects where he could continue entertaining his fans. It is hard to say how big he would become if that injury didn’t happen to him. Unfortunately, the injury that changed his life forever, became a sad chapter of his biography as the former superstar had to part ways with wrestling for good.
Confronting Mental Health Battle Shame
However, during the recent interview with the Under The Mat podcast, Big E spoke about his healing process and shared some details about his mental condition. “I’m not really used to talking about it. It’s something that I didn’t know I really wanted to talk about for a long time. I had so much shame around my diagnosis. Like, I felt like if people knew that I spent a month in the psych ward that they would not take me seriously that they would, like, point at me and say, ‘here’s the crazy guy,” Big E said. “But fortunately, I think a lot of that shifted for me.
Overcoming Stigma Through Honest Writing

I had this Players’ Tribune column called ‘Sour’ that came out about a year and a half ago, and I think seeing the response to that piece, really made me want to have a more open conversation about my struggles with mental health,” he added. Big E also noted that his family has been his primary support system throughout the entire process. In addition, he pointed out that his loyalty to WWE helped him stay positive and dedicated to the job.

This was the key to his lengthy career in the company. No doubt, his positive attitude to life and the support of his near and dear ones made him such an inspiring WWE superstar that millions of fans admire.
