7 Heartbreaking Reasons Why Brock Lesnar Retired From WWE

Brock Lesnar Endorses Future Star

Brock Lesnar’s legendary professional wrestling career came to a close after the events at SummerSlam. The former Universal Champion put an end to the heated rivalry with rising star Oba Femi inside the ring. Lesnar even proclaimed the younger wrestler to be the future of the company before he quit the ring in the ring. The fans were convinced that this was the final match for the “Beast Incarnate,” as he delivered a memorable farewell after WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Short Comeback Leading to Retirement

Lesnar was set to retire after the show in Sin City, but he returned to the ring several weeks later to continue the rivalry with Femi. He even managed to win on Clash in Italy while being much more accessible to the fans. Wrestling experts are now assuming that Lesnar will not return to the ring again since he finally devoted himself to his personal life.

It seems that he did everything he could for the business and eventually wants to pursue other interests now that he is done with sports entertainment. Heyman spoke on the Six Feet Under podcast and revealed that he knew SummerSlam was going to be the last for Lesnar. “Brock has always been realistic about himself, and it’s time,” Heyman said. “I would hear this every year from him, ‘No, this is my last contract. This is it.’

Paul Heyman Shares Retirement Insight

He always meant it when he said it, but as the date approached, he always changed his mind, or it didn’t take much for me to convince him otherwise. But this time, I knew because he knew, and he wasn’t kidding this time. It was a fait accompli. And I think that’s how he felt it was also for him. Heyman later spoke about retirement in general and the perspective of a veteran knowing that the end is near.

Veterans Accepting The End Stage

“Listen, when you first come out, so many of the veterans would say to me, ‘Hey, kid, be accepting of it. Don’t fight against what the reality of the situation is,” Heyman said. “That’s the same thing I would say to you if you came to me and said, “Hey, we have this incredible opportunity for you at WrestleMania.” You’re gonna walk away from it, right?”
